Description: For this project, we got to create a hidden animal behind warm colors that were in different shapes and patterns. We had to use these special safari goggles to see through the color pattern and identify the animal hiding behind this picture. When it came to drawing the image we were instructed to draw the animal upside down in a light blue colored pencil to hid the animal behind. After that, we were instructed to list three clues for people to guess what animal is behind the color camouflage.
Extension:I would use this activity in a science classroom when we are learning about the food chains and food webs. Students will be given a category of animals they need to draw an image of. After the students get their designated category they will draw the animal and then cover them up with warm colors. They will have to use their knowledge of the animal and its place in the food chain or web to give hints for other students to guess what animal they had picked.
