Description: For this activity, we listened to the book "The Dot". This book was a great way to integrate art into the classroom or tie two subjects together in the general classroom and the special classroom. For my project, I had chosen multiple cool colors to create dotes along with oil pastels, crayons, watercolors, and a coffee filter. We were able to do the project by just painting dots or creating a dot on the coffee filter.
Extension Activity: I would have students listen to the book "The Dot". Then what we would do is we would use a coffee filter to create a part projected that is based around one dot in the center of the coffee filter. Students will have to use a color scheme along with 3 different types of media to complete their project. After the project is finished we will seal the artwork with some type of sealing material and then hang them in our room or on the window as a piece of see-through art.
